Shading pure white is one of the classic hobby headaches — go too dark and you end up with grey armour, not white armour with shadow. White Shadow is built for exactly that job: a soft, near-white tone close enough to true white that it shades without dragging the whole scheme down.

Best for

• Shading white armour, robes and banners
• Bone and off-white accents that need a gentle tonal shift
• The blending step between a white basecoat and a pure white highlight

Used sparingly in the recesses, it gives white schemes actual depth instead of the flat, one-tone look plain white alone leaves behind.
